- Design and develop fibre optic systems and subsystems for Finchetto's all-optical network switch.
- Participate in prototype build and testing phases, optimising performance and reliability.
- Conduct thorough analysis and validation of photonic designs to meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to convey technical insights and project progress.
- Minimum Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Solid understanding of photonic principles and fibre optic technologies.
- Proven experience in designing and developing fibre optic systems and subsystems for commercial roll-out.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with optical network switches or similar optical networking technologies.
- Familiarity with optical component integration and testing processes.
- Proficiency in simulation tools, e.g. MatLab, Zemax or Lumerical.
