    Job Description

    We are working on behalf of an entrepreneurial Distressed Investing team for a leading global fund, who are looking to add an Restructuring Associate to the growing team.

    The firm seeks to turnaround distressed private companies, with a broad range of capabilities across sectors and geographies. They work on situations where their entrepreneurial attitude and operational focus can add value. They will often get involved in situations where a bespoke finance solution needs to be found, adding value and contributing to the restructuring of investments across EMEA.

    The fund is looking for individuals who have a proven track record in restructuring, turnaround or workout experience, with additional experience in leveraged finance a plus.

    You will be involved in screening potential investments and turning around existing investments, to generate a high level of consistent returns.

    Requirements:

    • Candidates must have 3-6 years' experience working in corporate restructuring, private credit, private equity, or leveraged finance , specifically with hands-on experience in directly managing investments..
    • Interpersonal skills and maturity to communicate effectively with lower middle market management teams and counterparties to extract actionable intelligence from complex situations;
    • Advanced Excel Skills: Ability to build operational and financial models, correlation, valuation, runoff, liquidation, and various other types of analyses with limited supervision;
    • An entrepreneurial mindset and the capability to manage multiple complex situations in parallel, understanding the operating requirements of private businesses during growth, evolution and potentially turnaround phases;
    • Ability to understand and negotiate complex investment agreements
