Description

The post holder is responsible for collection, documentation, maintenance, and implementation of credit control standard operating procedures in order to maximise income and cash flow for Embassy accounts, while minimising bad debt to the Trust.


To effectively manage a portion of credit control staff and ensure close liaison with private patient accounts, billing, systems and quality and coding to minimise the risk of future debt with regard to Embassy patients.

The post holder will also assist the Embassy Debt Manager with quality improvement projects and in these areas.

The post will have key responsibility for debt relating to Embassy's including liaison with and management of relationships.


The post holder will also liaison with all Team Leaders including the Service Improvement, Consultant Team, Billing Team, Missing LoG team.

  • To directly line manage a team of credit controllers who are responsible and accountable for the delivery of Private Care Credit Control in relation to Embassy sponsors.
  • In conjunction with the Embassy Debt Manager, contribute to accurate, highquality reports to support business cases for business developments, utilising activity and income projections.
  • To provide weekly reports to management which reflect the position of the debt and action plans required to address in line with Trust policy pertinent to private activity credit control.
  • To ensure the establishment and maintenance of good relationships and communication throughout the Directorate, and with the wider Trust, promoting a culture where staff are actively involved in decisions on how services are provided and targets delivered.
  • To support the development of, and promote, the Trust's & Private Care's mission, values aims and objectives.
