Description
Do you want to be part of an exciting team who supports education and training for Primary Care Advancing/Extended practice within General Practice?

HEE Training Hubs lead on innovative approaches to training and development for Primary Care. We support those on the frontline to be able to deliver safe and caring services for patients. We work across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Linking with PCNs and practices to offer workforce planning, staff development and training for all staff. We are commissioned by the NHS via Health Education England.

The ACP/FCP Ambassador role has been developed to support practitioners with advancing and extended practice by providing senior leadership to guide CPD, ensure professional accountability from a governance perspective and act as an expert advisor to the individuals, practices and PCNs.

In particular the RoadMaps for AHPs and ACP training/portfolio programs. This role will be supported by our Multi-professional Educators and the wider team.

Applicants will be required to maintain clinical practice so undertake this Ambassador role as part of a portfolio role. The Ambassador would be an AHP or Nurse with extended/advanced qualifications.

With the changing face and expanded workforce in Primary Care, the requirement for professional development, support, supervision and mentorship is pivotal for safe patient care.

ACPs and FCPs working in autonomous advanced and extended roles will benefit from the networking and development opportunities the Ambassador role will facilitate.

Teaching experience would be an advantage as some direct teaching may be delivered by the post holder. However teaching qualifications or train the trainer programs can be gained in post.

This role requires innovation and creative thinking so the post holder will have supported autonomy in establishing new programs/peer support/activities.

Stakeholder engagement will be crucial in enabling training and development for our advanced/extended workforce.

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Primary Care Training Hub is hosted by Taurus Healthcare on behalf of HEE.

The Training Hub goals are to support workforce planning, embed education, training and development to support growth and retention of Herefordshire and Worcestershire primary care workforce.

This facilitates the development of teams that deliver care to the people of Herefordshire and Worcestershire, by creating an environment in which excellence can flourish and each individual is supported to achieve their full potential.

This includes development for staff within our team to further their own personal and career aspirations.

Taurus Healthcare is the Herefordshire GP federation whose aims are to support local practices, provide clinical services and work with local health and care organisations.

We believe that General Practice is the cornerstone of our health and care system, providing holistic care to individuals and families to live independent, healthy, fulfilled lives.
