    Description
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our Band 6 Occupational Therapy Rotation.

    We currently offer a wide range of rotations across A& E, Frailty at the front door, Acute Assessment areas, medical inpatient wards, Elective and Emergency Surgical inpatient Wards, Orthopaedics (Trauma & Elective), Neuro (Acute, Specialist Rehab Centre and Early Supported Discharge Team), DME inpatients and general rehab.

    There are opportunities to engage in training and development, innovative practice and service development. We are also looking to work with partnership organisations to offer opportunities to work in community settings.


    You will have professional support for your CPD from Therapy Team and Clinical Leaders and support from Senior Occupational Therapists from other specialities as required.

    To have a responsibility for Training & Development of occupational therapy staff, students and other staff groups in this speciality.

    Participates as a member of the therapy team and the MDT within a specified clinical area- Has a responsibility re-own CPD and other developmental activities.- Participates in weekend, evening and Bank Holiday on-call for acute respiratory patients.- Some of our services work on extended hours rotas working between 8 am and 8pm.)

    Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
    Graduate Diploma or BSc Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification recognised by HCPC (or student Occupational Therapist with qualification pending)
    Core Rotations as a Band 5 Therapists in a range of core areas: Orthopaedics, Medical or Frailty Inpatients & Neurological Rehabilitation

    Basic computer skills

    Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
    Active collection of relevant CPD in portfolio
    Experience supervising junior, students or non-qualified staff
    Well developed theoretical knowledge under pinning Occupational Therapy practice
    Knowledge and experience in hospital computer system
    Ability to be flexible and adaptable in order to support others and needs of the service
