    Job summary

    We are lookingfor an enthusiastic and motivated band 3 healthcare assistant to join theWorcester and Wychavon Housing, Adaptations and Specialist Equipment (HASE) communityoccupational therapy team. This is a part time post of hours, and we areflexible with working days/hours.

    The postholder will be asked to work across Worcester City and Wychavon as required butwill be based in a Wychavon office.

    Main duties of the job

    This is abusy and varied role, which requires the post holder to have a flexibleapproach and a calm, professional manner and is one where he/she can work bothindependently and as part of a team in undertaking the duties required for thepost. This role will encompass administration, supporting our referral process,managing telephone calls, and assisting other team members to manage theircaseloads and support them with therapeutic tasks such as equipment fitting and interventionreviews. The post holder may also have their own caseload.

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • Level 3 qualification (, A-level, NVQ3) in Care or Level 2 qualification (, GCSE Grade A-C or Grade 9-4, NVQ2 or equivalent) in Care and will be expected to undertake the relevant Level 3 qualification on appointment to post
  • Will be expected to meet the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust
  • Experience

    Essential

  • Experience of working with people, preferably in a caring environment
  • Desirable

  • Previous experience in a therapy setting working alongside therapists
  • Skills & Abilities

    Essential

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats
  • Skills and competent in using a computer
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and organise own time
  • Knowledge

    Essential

  • Basic knowledge of physical/ mental health conditions
  • Knowledge of Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy
  • Understanding of team work
