- You will be responsible for performing and maintaining non-destructive testing procedures for various aerospace metallic components.
- Process components in accordance with NDT data card - cleaning, degreasing, inspect using appropriate method.
- Fluorescent penetrant and Magnetic particle inspection: Process parts in accordance with data card. Visually inspect to internal and customer quality standard.
- Experience working in aerospace / automotive quality systems minimum 5 years.
- Knowledge of the required aerospace specifications for Rolls Royce.
- Recognised & certified for Mag Particle Inspection and Dye Penetrant Inspection
- Production floor experience in defect reduction and process improvement.
- Working knowledge of common DPI & MPI Techniques.
- Proficient using various inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators.
- Proficient IT skills including MS-Office (primarily, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Manufacturing methods.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ability to interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all employee levels.
- Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a positive approach to all areas of work.
- HNC/HND or higher.
- Able to work extended hours as needed.
- Special processes experience advantageous, Coatings, paint & NDT.
- NADCAP audit awareness
- Six Sigma, 5Ys, 5s, and Continuous Improvement
