Summer Work Opportunity for Qualified Teachers to Lecture on Under 18s Global Leadership & International Business Courses, Summer 2024

Opportunity Description:


Bayswater College is looking for qualified Business, Communication and Marketing teachers who would like to work over the summer holiday period lecturing at a London summer camp.

You'll be lecturing in Global Leadership, Business, Entrepreneurship and Innovation to young international students aged 14 to 18. The aim of the programme is to give these students a university taster experience.


We are looking to create memorable and interactive learning experiences for goal-oriented students who excel academically and have a positive attitude towards learning and collaboration.


They will be able to create a safe and inclusive learning environment and will have the ability to adapt their teaching style to meet the needs of high performing students who are linguistically diverse.

Global Leadership & International Business Lecturer


Job Description:


Qualified Teacher of Business or related fields to teach a Global Leadership, Business, Entrepreneurship and Innovation course at our summer camp for international students aged 14 to 18.

Our camps will be based at the following locations:
London - University of Greenwich (Greenwich Campus): 1st July to 9th August

London - University of Westminster (Harrow Campus): 1st July to 9th August

The courses will run in two-week cycles, so there are contracts available for 2, 4 or 6 weeks.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Teach interactive and engaging classes with activities that promote active learning and critical thinking (70% of your hours)
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse linguistic backgrounds
  • Lead group discussions and activities
  • Provide support and guidance to students during the course
  • Work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment as part of a team of professionals
  • Attend training and meetings to ensure successful delivery of the course (5% of your hours)
  • Preparation and planning of the course material (20% of your hours)
  • Administrative tasks related to the role (5% of your hours)
What We Are Looking For


Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

  • Essential_
  • You should be a qualified teacher of Business or a related field, with an interest in teaching and training young people in the areas of Global Leadership, Business, Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Enhanced DBS check is required
  • Must complete Safeguarding Level 1 and Prevent training
  • Desirable_
  • Experience working with teenagers/young people is preferred but not required
  • Ideally, you will possess an EFL teaching qualification such as a CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL

Skills and Attributes

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software including Teams and Powerpoint.

  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure


This opportunity provides useful, practical experience in teaching, working with young people from different backgrounds and cultures, and developing skills in classroom management, instruction giving, task set up, and giving post-task feedback.

Salary and Benefits
