Inicio is one of the UK's largest providers of Accommodation, Support, & Life Skill Services to Children, Young People, & Families.

Supporting young people aged 16 to 19, who are transitioning from residential or foster care, present as homeless or are unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.


Role Overview


Join our dynamic Digital Solutions Department as a Trainee Digital Solutions Officer, where you will play a vital role in managing and supporting our organisation's digital infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Reporting directly to the Digital Solutions Manager, you will provide desktop support to all staff, manage day-to-day digital solutions operations, and efficiently resolve issues.

Collaborating closely with various departments, you'll implement solutions to enhance productivity and align with organisational goals. As a trainee, you'll receive comprehensive training to develop your problem-solving skills and dedication to providing high-quality support.

Your role extends beyond traditional IT support to actively participating in digital transformation initiatives, contributing to the ongoing evolution of our digital landscape.


Responsibilities

  • You will provide technical support for both hardware and software issues that users encounter, ensuring timely and efficient resolution to maintain high levels of user satisfaction and productivity.
  • You will perform routine maintenance on digital systems and assets to ensure they are functioning efficiently, including updates, patches, and security checks to prevent potential issues.
  • You will assist in managing our digital asset inventory, keeping track of hardware, software, and supplies to ensure resources are adequately maintained and available as needed.
  • You will help in configuring and setting up new equipment, preparing devices for new users, and performing upgrades or replacements as necessary.
  • You will participate in documenting digital processes and issues, creating guides, manuals, or reports that contribute to the knowledge base and support continuity.
  • You will support network administration tasks, such as monitoring network performance, assisting with troubleshooting connectivity issues, and helping to ensure network security.
  • You will engage with users to provide information technology education and guidance, helping to improve digital literacy across the organisation through informal training sessions or tips.
  • You will ensure our cyber security protection are robust, effective, and well always maintained.
  • You will collaborate with external vendors and support services when necessary to resolve complex issues or procure new technology solutions.

Requirements:


  • A minimum of a GCSE or equivalent qualification in IT or a related field. Alevels or a relevant vocational qualification would be advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues and a willingness to learn and develop problemsolving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in digital solutions and IT support through training provided on the job.

Salary:
Up to £23,623.60 per year
