    Vehicle Technician Trainer

    Nr Swindon - Hybrid

    Permanent

    £34,814 - £37,223 + Benefits

    Our client, a global aerospace company, urgently require a Vehicle technician Trainer to join their team.

    The role:

    • Delivering vehicle maintenance / technical training in line with curriculum requirements
    • Preparing and delivering instruction on course modules, including lesson plans, training aids, workbooks and trainee handouts
    • Carrying out the assessment of trainees, to include creation of written examinations and practical assessments
    • Setting and marking of coursework/homework; marking exam papers and invigilating at examinations/assessments
    • Ensuring student development through monitoring, feedback appraisal, discipline and training interventions
    • Ensuring all records and supporting documentation are updated, maintained and filed correctly,
    • Focusing on Health and Safety and maintaining a safe working environment at all times

    Skills/Experience:

    • Vehicle Technician background
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to motivate and encourage others with empathy and patience
    • Knowledge of a military environment and equipment (desirable)
    • Knowledge of the REME trade structure and operational requirements (desirable)
    • Knowledge of JAMES (Joint Asset Management and Equipment Solutions) (desirable)
    • Successful candidates must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security clearance
    • A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. Provided you can show the required level of technical experience and willingness to learn, then full training and funding will be provided to gain Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training during the probation period
