This role provides a rare and exciting opportunity to join a motivated and innovative team of individuals, committed to the delivery of high-quality education and related research activity.

You will be based within the multi-professional School of Health Sciences, a vibrant and collaborative community, encompassing a variety of Allied Health Professions and Nursing programmes.


We are looking for an experienced and innovative academic with relevant experience in teaching research skills, programme leadership and supervision of postgraduate and/or doctoral students.

The post requires an individual with well-developed communication and organisational skills, capable of effective inter-professional and cross boundary working.

You will predominantly work in leading and co-ordinating activity on our new Professional Doctorate programme in Health (DProfHealth) but will be expected to contribute to other programmes and modules as required.

You should hold a PhD or Professional Doctorate and a recognised teaching qualification. You will have educational experience of teaching and supervising at level 7 or above in a higher education institution. Knowledge of issues affecting health environments and a strong collaborative approach to learning delivery and assessment are essential. In addition, you will need to demonstrate evidence of CPD, research and scholarly activity.
