You will have the support of highly qualified & experienced risk engineers to keep abreast of the latest developments in technology, and actuaries to help you quantify and price these risks. You will also be working alongside an established team of power underwriters.

The ET book will be the cornerstone to helping to meet AXA XL's net-zero underwriting goals and a key contributor to its wider energy transition journey. It will be important to be visible and approachable to brokers and clients alike.Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with collaborative behaviour will be essential to the role.

    DISCOVER your opportunity

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Reviewing and prioritising submissions (including slips, wordings, technical information etc.).
  • Calculating appropriate risk premium, with support from the actuarial team.
  • Underwriting within Group rules & guidelines.
  • Servicing accounts and managing client engagement.
  • Effective engagement with brokers, ensuring relationship growth and a good flow of new business.
  • Accountability for underwriting results of ET book; contributing to overall strategy and financial planning.
  • Collaborating with colleagues from wider AXA XL, cross selling where appropriate.
  • This position is the first of its kind for AXA XL and in the first instance you will report to the Head of Energy.
