Starting Salary £48,747 rising in annual increments to £51,783

About The Role
This is a great opportunity to progress your career as a professional internal auditor.

As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will report directly to the Internal Audit Manager and line manage an internal auditor and an apprentice.

You will be responsible for managing, mentoring and motivating the Internal Audit team as well as undertaking a portfolio of complex or high-profile audits.

As a result, you will gain exposure and deal with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

About You

You will have experience of undertaking complex, risk-based audits, assurance and consultancy reviews in accordance with the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards (PSIAS) or International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).

You will be either professionally qualified or actively working towards an internal audit qualification (CIA, PIIA, CMIIA, CCAB, or other relevant qualification).

You will have strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach.

Ideally, you will have worked in the public sector previously and/or have good knowledge of the role and responsibilities of local government.
