Job Description:


Role Purpose


To ensure monthly reporting is accurate and completed in a timely manner and to assist with all EMEA statutory reporting requirements.


Main Responsibilities

  • Playing an active role in the monthend close process, involving the analysis of expense and balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare and enter monthly and adhoc journal entries into the PeopleSoft accounting system
  • Support financial analysis and assist with special projects such as ERP implementation
  • Handle corporate accounting tasks for Wood Mackenzie
  • Aid in fulfilling audit requests and financial reporting on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Take ownership of core accounting processes, such as prepayment and payroll journal entry
  • Fulfil assigned responsibilities for various adhoc projects
  • Collaborate with other finance departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly results
  • Provide assistance on statutory audits and preparing financial statements with support

Qualifications:


About You
- +2 years relevant working experience within an accounting role

  • Partqualified or Certified Accountant (CA/ACCA/CPA) qualification preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards (FRS 102) beneficial but not essential
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Outstanding planning and organisational abilities
  • Proficient in multitasking and setting priorities
  • Diligent, analytical mindset and strong work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Team player and able to work across multicultural/multifunctional teams
