They are now are seeking a skilled COBOL Developer to join our growing team.As a COBOL Developer, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing existing systems while contributing to the development of new solutions.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable COBOL code.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain COBOL applications in line with business requirements and industry best practices.
Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure the stability and reliability of applications.
Contribute to the design and architecture of new systems and enhancements.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in COBOL development.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a COBOL Developer, with a strong understanding of COBOL programming principles and techniques.
Experience working with mainframe systems and technologies.
Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience with modernizing legacy COBOL systems.
Familiarity with other programming languages such as Java or Python.
Relevant certifications in COBOL development or mainframe technologies.
