The Opportunity/Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for maintenance and general upkeep of production assets, ensuring appropriate equipment safety, compliance, condition, operability, performance, operating parameters, preventative maintenance and repairs. Technical expertise contributor to improvement, efficiency and diagnostic problem-solving activities. The area of responsibility includes: extrusion processes, injection moulding processes and/or utility and services.

Main responsibilities will include:

Completing Planned Preventative maintenance tasks as per PPM Schedule.

Supporting On site services. (Fire Systems, Water, Electrical Supply).

Identifying root cause and resolving issues to drive a continuous improvement culture.

Be aware of Maintenance spares stock control and Identify spares required & Liaise with suppliers

Full compliance with all safety regulations, standard operating procedures.

Support Companies continuous improvement program.

The successful candidate will be required to work Monday - Friday weekly rotating shifts: 6:30am - 2:30pm and 2:30pm - 10:30pm

Salary: £48,556per annum + £300 attendance bonus per quarter and overtime.

Requirements:

Technical Knowledge Required

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Level 3 qualification with supporting experience gained in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of Electrical Systems – 24V Control, 230V single phase power, 400V three phase distribution.

Testing I/Os.

Knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems. Hydraulic Pumps/Motors, Proportional Valves

Proven Track Record in Industry repairing/maintaining equipment.

Mechanical Skills – Hand Fitting, Couplings, Chain Drives, Changing Pumps/Motors.

Instrumentation Knowledge – Temperature Controllers, Thermocouples, RTD's and Heater Bands.

Desirable Requirements

17Th Edition IEE Wiring Regs. Experience carrying out Electrical Installations.

Basic Welding/Fabrication.

Counter Balance FLT & IPAF License.
