The CompanyA well respected and industry leading specialist food distributor based on the outskirts of Manchester.The RoleReporting into the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for implementing the procurement strategies set by the Business Directors within the organisation to deliver tangible results for the organisation.
Key duties includeNegotiating supplier product, service, quality, pricing and payment termsSourcing new products and suppliers from both inside and outside the UK and setting up new contractual terms.
Writing new & reviewing existing contractual terms to ensure maximum commercial benefit within the business.Produce category management reports for the senior management team.
Updating and maintaining supplier recordsWhat you'll need to succeedYou will have a demonstrable background within Food Buying / Purchasing / Procurement and be able to demonstrate the following skill set
With the ability to influence and negotiate at all levelsStrong Commercial awareness and business acumenA flexible approach and adaptability to business needs is required to ensure critical tasks are completed and project deadlines are achieved.
