Accounts Assistant - Birmingham, United Kingdom - First Mile
Description
We are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team here at First Mile. Your role will be to support and assist in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the finance department.The role will be a hybrid role combining time at home with time in our Birmingham office as well as the odd trip to our London office.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Processing invoices, receipts, and payments, accurately recording financial data into the accounting system, & reconciling accounts to ensure their completeness and accuracy
- Preparing weekly payment runs in a timely manner to include all invoicing and payment checks
- Managing ad hoc outgoing payments
- Communicating with vendors, clients, and other team members to maintain good relationships & ensuring smooth financial operations with the organisation
- Processing expenses for staff
- Managing AP inbox
- Distribution of post in a timely manner
- Supplier statement reconciliation
