This is a fabulous office based HR opportunity to work within a leading educational establishment on the outskirts of Reading, Berkshire (must be a car owner as no public transport links)

Working hours are 08.30 to 16.30 Monday to Friday with a paid lunch break and restaurant style food provided free of charge whilst working


What will I be doing as an HR Generalist?

  • Reporting to the HR Operations Manager and working in a small, collaborative team of 6 HR professionals.
  • Providing administrative support on the whole employee lifecycle including recruitment
  • Building effective working relationships with staff at all levels and providing advice and guidance on a range of HR policies and practices
  • Supporting the development of strong communication and feedback channels with all staff to support employee engagement
  • Ensuring all data is accurate and compliant and providing accurate reports from the HRIS systems
  • Participating in training and team development activities
  • Managing the contractor database and IR35 administration ensuring all relevant electronic files are kept up to date including DBS compliance

What skills and experience do I need for the HR Generalist role?

  • CIPD Level 5 is preferred
  • Experience of working with and maintaining data in a HRIS system
  • A demonstrable record of success within HR
  • A sound understanding of the principles of good HR practice and up to date knowledge of employment law
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written
  • Strong team player
  • Able to build strong relationships
  • Car owner/driver living in the areas of Reading, Pangbourne, Theale, Aldermaston etc
