    Description

    Job Description – CAD Technician

    Architectural Bronze Casements is a family owned and run business based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. We are a bespoke designer and manufacturer of bronze windows, doors and screens for prestigious buildings (domestic, commercial and heritage sites).

    We are looking to recruit a CAD Technician to join our busy Drawing Office. This is an opportunity for an exciting, rewarding and fulfilling career with a well-established and growing company, committed to providing unique and high-quality products to its clients. Full training will be provided, and we are looking for the right candidate, willing to learn and gain new skills.

    You will be creating technical drawings and delivering considered design solutions within a realistic timescale. As you are responsible for liaising with clients, builders, architects and our internal teams, effective communication is an important aspect of the role. Once design approval has been obtained you will progress projects into manufacture with supporting drawings and documentation.

    Knowledge/Experience:

    • AutoCAD 2D an advantage
    • The ability to work to a given concept and modify it, following a technical assessment and site survey visit
    • Able to visualize in 3D, problem solve, and communicate proposed solutions clearly to all parties involved in project delivery
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal, non-verbal and written)

    Personal Attributes:

    • Analytical skills and an eye for detail
    • General computer skills (Word, Outlook, etc.)
    • A willingness to travel throughout the country (sometimes staying over)
    • A full, clean driving licence
    • Good time management skills

    Desirable:

    • Surveying skills and the ability to accurately map and dimension structural details
    • An understanding of mechanical and joinery principles
    • A knowledge of building control and building regulations
    • Experience in the fenestration industry
    • Knowledge of construction

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

    Benefits:

    Schedule:

    • 40 hours a week, Office hours 08:00 and 17:00, core hours between 09:00 and 16:00 Monday to Friday

    Experience:

    • AutoCAD: 1 year (desirable)
