Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in East London for a Finance Assistant within the Payments function.

The postholder will receive, maintain, and process payment requests from Suppliers and Internal customersand will upload invoices to the OCR system.

The postholder will be expected to support the senior staff with general ledger and accounts payable to ensure a smooth-running service.


  • Recent experience within a payments office, with Local Authority experience highly desired
  • Experience of using a purchase order system to process invoices and dealing with external and internal customers
  • Great communication skills with ability to work well as a team and on own initiative
