- Set up and maintain activity areas for children's enjoyment and safety
- Follow policies ensuring a fun and secure environment for children
- Conduct engaging taster sessions aligned with Barracudas Fencing training
- Utilize Teambuilding manual for varied and safe age-appropriate sessions
- Offer safety instructions, equipment demos, and supervision
- Ensure active supervision and care for children including breaks and meals
- Encourage maximum participation in group activities
- Work with other staff members supporting the sessions
- Complete paperwork accurately for Fencing sessions
- Regularly check and maintain Fencing equipment
- Take responsibility for welfare and safety
- Maintain site cleanliness and equipment organization
- Ensure safe equipment use
- Complete the FREE 1-day Fencing+ course affiliated with British Fencing before employment
- Be 18 or above by contract start date
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Provide satisfactory references
- Be enthusiastic, caring, organized with strong communication skills and initiative
- Obtain an enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or on the Update Service
- Attend a Virtual Assessment Event if new to Barracudas
- Participate in annual online training
- Attend Induction Training Day before first working season
- Assist with setup and pack-up
- Ensure Health and Safety compliance by following instructions diligently
- Organize appropriate activities within your qualifications and skills
- Encourage participation in activities
- Ensure child safety and communicate with them daily
- Follow camp systems and guidelines on child welfare
- Be a positive role model promoting a healthy lifestyle and hygiene
- Report Child Protection concerns promptly
- Accommodate children with additional needs appropriately
- May deliver Skills Builder sessions if needed
- Support swimming sessions if required
- Perform various tasks as needed
