REED HR is delighted to support our client, a large manufacturing and supply company who are currently recruiting for a Learning & Development Specialist based in the Newtownabbey area.


This role has been specifically created to ensure new starts, apprentices and current employees are upskilled on a regular basis, enhancing development and adding value to the company at all times.


This is an ideal role for a "hands on" Learning & Development Specialist that can provide specialist training from the classroom to the factory floor ensuring every employee has an excellent understanding of their role through on-going comprehensive training,demonstration and mentoring.


As L&D specialist you will:

  • Support the HR team through the creation and delivery of a robust L&D training plan
  • Deliver training to ensure rapid upskilling of new recruits
  • Provide new and refresher training for current employees
  • Create, maintain, and update training matrices for all staff in various departments to anticipate gaps in training
  • Work closely with managers and apprentices to ensure all levels of training are offered
  • Work with external training providers as required
Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience developing and implementing L&D strategies and training
  • Experience delivering training through a variety of methods including Classroom, In House, On the job.

Essential Criteria:
The ideal person will have

  • 34 years' experience within a dedicated Learning and Development role
  • Experience of creating and delivering bespoke training to meet business requirements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and demonstrate new skills required for the variety of roles
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to build strong working relationships
  • Excellent administration, usage of all Microsoft programmes and attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
