The Estates Maintenance Department has a vacancy for a Mechanical Assistant based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.

The successful applicant must have completed a recognised Training and be qualified to City and Guilds/NVQ level 2 in Mechanical Installation, or equivalent.

Ideally, you should have experience of Mechanical Maintenance and minor new works.

Applicants must be prepared to undertake further training as and when required. The postholder must have a current driving licence.


Your role will include:


  • Undertake routine maintenance (PPM) of Mechanical systems
  • Undertake reactive maintenance of Mechanical systems
  • To be part of a directly employed mechanical trade staff team to ensure that all planned and reactive maintenance tasks are undertaken in the most effective & efficient way, and in line with the Trusts Service Level Agreement (SLA).
