    Description

    Teacher of French or Spanish

    We are looking to recruit a Teacher of French or Spanish (where both would be an advantage) to join us from August 2024 (or 1st / 8th July 2024 for an ECT year 1 candidate) for one year in the first instance.

    Beaumont Leys School is a highly successful 11-16 school consistently rated as Good by Ofsted, most recently in March 2020. We are very proud of the progress our students make, and the destinations that our students go on to; many of our students have challenging backgrounds and low prior attainment on intake and so we are the beacon of hope for their futures.     Our MFL Department is a very successful, dynamic and inspiring department whose students have a good history of GCSE results. French and Spanish at GCSE are increasingly popular. The faculty utilises a creative curriculum augmented with cultural trips and visits to grow our students' love of languages.

    We work hard to recruit the best and then we support them to be even better. Our internal promotion record is impressive, even our Head Teacher started with us as an NQT. We engage extensively with local ITT providers, including Teach First and Researchers into School, and provide an excellent ECF support programme and a strong and well-evaluated programme of professional learning. Our teachers are always learners and as such role model everything we want for our students.
