Are you a graduate looking for an opportunity within the Aerospace and Defence sector? We have an opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join an established team working on world leading Aerospace and Defence projects.

This role will be working with CIMPA, the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) subsidiary of Sopra Steria with are now over 1700 employees based in Europe and is growing strongly.

What you will be doing
:

Provide second line support and technical implementation

:

installation, maintenance, performance optimisation of infrastructure technologies.

  • Evaluate hardware and software (for server, network, storage, or desktop environments)
  • Test all deliverables produced and document results.
  • Integration and test of new products (both hardware and software) for incorporation into programme infrastructure.
  • Administration and enhancement of the environment and its supportability.
  • Provide second line support.
  • Carry out project tasks to ensure the viability of the project
  • Accurately assess time to complete tasks to follow standard project processes and procedures. T
- o be aware of the relevant SLA structure and to respond, fix or escalate according to the limits set out within that structure.

  • Maintain Operational and User procedures to ensure that Team Leader is informed of progress.

What you'll bring
:


  • The Infrastructure Engineer will have good working knowledge of their technology area.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of associated infrastructure engineering tools, techniques, methods within their specialist area.
  • Demonstrable experience of working as an Infrastructure Engineer on small or medium sized software engineering projects.
  • Infrastructure skills covering administration, fault finding/diagnosis and fix.
  • Experience within a customer support environment.
  • Documentation Skills, with the ability to produce documents for use by an end user, as well as operational procedure documentation for use by service desk personnel.
  • Previous work experience in infrastructure Management

File/Print Clusters an advantage, enterprise level thin client environments an advantage, messaging systems an advantage, working to tight SLA's

  • Accreditation to MCP level or equivalent.
  • Diploma in Computer Sciences
**Employment Type - Full Time, Permanent

Location - Stevenage - on-site 3 days a week

Security Clearance Level - SC - willing to obtain DV
