The Opportunity

The Lancashire Cricket Foundation are delighted to be looking for a Community Projects Activator to join the wider team at Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket.

You'll be responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of a range of community cricket projects, programmes and events for the Lancashire Cricket Foundation.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone to work with the Lancashire Cricket Foundation who strives to make a difference in the local communities.

About Us

Lancashire Cricket Foundation (LCF) works across the North West to develop and deliver a range of projects, programmes and events designed to engage, excite, inspire and improve individuals and communities through cricket.

We provide governance for the recreational game and high-quality experiences that make a positive difference to the lives of the individuals and communities we engage in order to grow the appeal of the game at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Understanding of 'development through cricket' and community work.
Strong communication, interpersonal, planning and organisational skills.
Be selfmotivated and have the ability to motivate others.
Good IT skills.
Ability to evaluate all activity in agreed format.
Excellent organisation, planning skills and ability to multitask.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Essential Requirements

Ideally have gained, or be working towards ECB Cricket qualifications.
Delivery of cricket / generic leadership training.
Experience of working to engage, inspire and support participants.
Experience of delivering safe, structured and enjoyable activity in schools, clubs and the local community.
Experience supporting children to enhance their social and life skills through sport.
Ability to work alongside teachers and community figures to instil core values amongst children and young adults.
Understanding of the needs of target groups including women & girls, minority ethnic communities, disabled people and people from disadvantaged background and areas of deprivation.
Attendance on First Aid and Safeguarding & Protecting Children courses.
Experience of undertaking risk assessments.
