Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Take all customer orders accurately and process them into the system in a timely manner ensuring that the customer service requirements are agreed and met.
- Listening to the customer and understanding their needs
- Negotiating and endeavoring to satisfy the customer, keeping them informed
- Dealing with a variety of customer service activities, with flexibility dependent on the department's needs
- Adhering to SLA's/targets in place
- Develop relationships with the External Sales Team, understanding the region and customer base
- Proactively resolve customer issues or changes in the requested order, keeping them fully informed in a professional and honest manner enabling them to accommodate any revised service levels
- Understand product portfolio and customer offering, including any potential lead times
- Work closely with colleagues in other departments to ensure that all customer orders are dealt with in accordance to the current customer service priorities and guidelines
- Coordinating all programmed orders and services, liaising with External Hauliers
- Daily resource management of vehicle capacities in line with targets
- Liaising with the plants, operations, planning and logistics to ensure smooth running of daily deliveries
- Gaining ETA's for daily deliveries
- Ensuring product is dispatched to the customer within specified lead times, seeking to meet and whenever possible exceed the customers' expectations
- Recording and advising of late loads including a timely notification of these issues to all the relevant parties
- Arranging and handling redirections, returns, dropped or cancelled loads, along with logging and processing any relevant charges
- Proactively resolve customer issues/complaints or changes in the requested order, keeping the customer informed
- Excellent telephone manner required when dealing with customers
Experience & Qualifications

- Product knowledge (not essential)
- Geographical area knowledge (desirable)

£23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
