    Alias Modeller



    PURPOSE:

    The job holder will work independently as an expert 3D digital modeler, specializing in creating high-quality exterior and interior models for evaluation, production, or as an Alias modeller focusing on Grasshopper or Dynamo. Willing to share expertise to enhance the design studio's capabilities.

    CONTENT:

    • Supporting the Studio Design Team to deliver digital and physical design properties.
    • Collaborating with designers and engineering teams to develop 3D digital model data.
    • Creating advanced algorithms to support surfacing team with CAD models and templates.
    • Preparing renderings, technical drawings & CAD models to support the Design Release Process.
    • Generating High Integrity data to 'A' class standard for transfer into PLM systems.
    • Producing data models suitable for milling/RPT applications.
    • Contributing to technical discussions and facilitating design changes understanding.
    • Assisting Designers in creating 3D models from 2D proposals/verbal directions.
    • Providing technical support for design reviews to senior management.
    • Handling special projects assigned by management.
    • Planning and prioritizing workload effectively.
    • Displaying proactive work approach and group collaboration.
    • Experience with Generative design would be beneficial.

    KNOWLEDGE:

    Educated in engineering or related field with 5+ years automotive experience.

    Proficiency in Autodesk Alias Surface, OEM studio experience, and knowledge of Grasshopper or Dynamo.

    2D Presentation/Animation skills and Class A surfacing expertise.

    Familiarity with component manufacturing tooling requirements.

    Proficiency in PhotoShop and photo editing software.

    Experience with RPT/Milling and Clay Model support.

    Skilled in V-Red Design.
