    Default job background
    Full time
    Description

    Join Our Team: Maintenance Technician

About Us: Lost Shore is focused on bringing a revolutionary surf resort to the outskirts of the city. The upcoming largest wave pool in Europe, adjacent to Europe's biggest indoor climbing arena, will position Scotland positively.

However, what truly sets us apart are the various activities and leisure options we offer, catering to everyone's interests.

Envision a surfing paradise where surfers, tourists, and locals come together - a place where excitement merges with relaxation.

    The Role: Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the pristine condition of our Surf Resort. You will be hands-on with the cove, wave generator, and water treatment system, guaranteeing smooth operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our buildings, accommodations, and the entire facility to provide visitors with an exceptional experience every day. If you are enthusiastic about maintenance and eager to make a significant impact, we would love to have you on our team.

    What you will be doing:

    • Performing reactive and preventative maintenance at the Lost Shore Surf Resort in Edinburgh.
    • Collaborating with the Maintenance Team, which may involve after-hours and independent work.
    • Ensuring a top-notch visitor experience in a safe and compliant manner.
    • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working closely with other team members.

Visitor Experience: Showcase expertise in our offerings, prioritize visitor satisfaction, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to enhance visitor retention.

Teamwork: Assist the Maintenance Manager in fostering a positive work environment, accepting feedback, staying informed, addressing challenges promptly, and upholding People Policies and Procedures.

Financial Aspirations: Partner with the Maintenance Manager to meet visitor targets, manage daily maintenance tasks efficiently, balance budgets, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.

Work Approach: Adhere to LSSR's Health and Safety policy, promote a strong safety culture within the Maintenance team, maintain legal compliance, and provide accurate incident reports to Department Heads and Duty Managers.

    Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

    • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, independence, and prompt issue resolution.
    • Hold a background in mechanical engineering or possess electrical qualifications.
    • Embrace a customer-centric mindset, uphold high standards of excellence, and build lasting relationships with stakeholders.
    • Showcase strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ethical decision-making for optimal results.
    • Exhibit resilience, composure, and proficiency in handling difficult situations while advocating for diversity, inclusion, and environmental responsibility.

    Additional Information:

Flexibility is essential for a Maintenance Technician role. Our resort operates seven days a week, requiring early mornings, late evenings, and weekend shifts. Availability for after-hours and solitary work, even when the facility is closed, is necessary. Your dedication to ensuring the resort runs smoothly during peak times is vital.

Why Join the Lost Shore Team?

    • Witness the grand opening of Europe's largest inland surf resort firsthand.
    • Enjoy picturesque sunsets over the surf lake (because everyone deserves a moment to unwind).
    • Be part of a team that balances work and fun while understanding the importance of hard work.
    • Contribute to shaping Lost Shore's legacy.
    • In addition to a competitive salary, benefit from a comprehensive package including 28 days of paid holiday, pension, and more.
