Description

We are looking for a Claims Assessor to join our Canary Wharf-based Claims and Collections team.

Reporting to the Claims Team Leader, you will process assessment or settlement claims received and allocate recoveries.

You will maintain an appropriate service level per segment which supports customer satisfaction objectives and may manage a portfolio of claims.

What you will do:

Review and analyzes content of the claim for validity and coverage analysis to determine/assess liability to the company
Contact clients regarding supporting documentation and/or claim status
Allocate recoveries or salvages when any, between PH and the company
Handle objections to claims through negotiations with policyholders
Depend on Customer segment, communicate Commercial decisions about claims partially/not covered
Resolve claims issues which may have a major impact on claims settlements and business retention
Develop and maintain good relationships with policyholders by understanding their business and responding promptly
Allocate incoming post and collections invoices

What you bring:

Business expertise:

- very good policy knowledge
- knowledge of contract law, local insolvency procedures

Interpersonal skills:

- comfortable with numbers, analytical skills with attention to details and experience of decision making
- good communicator / ability to convince about decisions taken
