The company is looking for a finance director to help it with its strategic growth.Reporting to the Founders, ultimately taking on the full responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the finance department.
Responsible for closing month end/year end, producing management accounts, maintaining purchase and sales ledger, credit control, weekly cash planning, P& L/Balance Sheet/Cash Flow forecast, financial planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, and any other ad-hoc duties that are required in the finance department.
\1 Complete month-end and produce Management accounts and issue to the board/founders with commentary monthly.
2 Managing accounting systems and all process/system changes.
3 Support Founders and company secretary in budgeting, forecasting and cash planning.
4 Manage year-end accounts and annual audit, liaising with appointed auditors
5 Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately processed in a timely manner.
6 Complete and submit VAT returns and other ad hoc tasks.
7 Bank Reconciliations and weekly cash planning.
8 Manage all banking facilities and relationships.
10 Create and issue business reports including product and channel profitability analysis
11 Assist on projects on an ad-hoc basis e.g. NPD and Cost saving projects.
13 HR responsibilities including payroll and onboarding
1 You must hold a professional accounting qualification (e.g CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
2 Detailed knowledge of Excel, and general computer literacy
paramount to business risks and all decision-making.
5 Knowledge and experience of Accounting systems including implementations
6 Knowledge and experience of Banking facilities-Desirable.
1 Be pro-active and have a can-do attitude to take charge of the entire Finance aspect of the business.
