User Experience Designer (Complex Projects) - £52,000 + Excellent Benefits - Remote working

A global corporation with over 150,000 employers and a billion-pound turnover is currently recruiting a User Experience designer with experience leading complex projects across digital platforms.

Ideally, the chosen User Experience Designer will have a provenrecord of sketching, design and annotation using tools such as Axure/Sketch/Figma.

The UX Designer will be responsible for embedding user experience practices and principles into complex projects and online products across the organisation.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • To lead the delivery of userfocussed solutions for a range of digital platforms and business critical transactional systems
  • To employ a range of tools and techniques to gather business requirements, develop solutions and also to illustrate design thinking for nontechnical colleagues; e.g. workshops, sketching, storyboarding, prototype creation.
  • To contribute to the development and iteration of a component / interaction library estate
  • To lead both qualitative and quantitative user research activities to ensure our design solutions are rooted in evidence and based on user needs, behavioural patterns
  • To develop understanding of usercentred design principles, methodology and implementation.
  • To work collaboratively with Digital colleagues to ensure the quality, feasibility and timely delivery of usercentred design solutions
  • To contribute to the promotion of usercentred design and raise business awareness of the work

Essential skills and requirements:


  • Substantial experience within UX Design for a large organisation
  • Extensive experience of practising a full range of UCD techniques
  • Understanding of the theory and benefits of a variety of user research methodologies
  • Experience of creating and amending existing information architectures
  • Sketching, design and annotation of wireframes and prototypes, using tools such as Axure/Sketch/Figma
  • Demonstrable skills managing stakeholders within a large organisation.
  • Current and thorough knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
  • Collaborating with technical specialists, cocreating appropriate work that is both best UX practice and feasible to build
  • Experience of User profiling and scenario generation
