We are looking for a
Sessional Tutor (Information Technology) to join our team.

As a Sessional Tutor for Information Technology at the University of Liverpool International College, your role would involve:

  • Preparing and delivering modules in Information Technology to international students studying on programmes offered by the College
  • Assisting with the development of module
  • Preparing module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment, including resit examinations, marking and providing feedback to students
  • Participating in standardisation and moderation processes, including double marking
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of the College's virtual learning environment (VLE), and facilitating student access to same
  • Providing input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process
  • Maintaining an accurate and uptodate record of student attendance and performance
  • Any other duties as required by the College Director, Academic Director and the Programme Leaders.

What you'll bring to the role
To succeed in the role, you will enjoy working with international students, be customer orientated and performance driven and possess:

  • previous teaching experience in one of the relevant areas of expertise or a related area within a UK higher education context
- ability to develop and update teaching material and preferably experience of working within a Virtual Learning Environment
- strong record-keeping skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines
- enthusiasm and motivation to be a performance-driven team player.

Also desirable would be a Certificate of Teaching in Higher Education, or currently undertaking a relevant course to obtain such a certificate
