Responsibilities include:

  • Operate the switchboard to route incoming calls to the appropriate departments or individuals
  • Use a bespoke system to answer incoming calls and provide information or direct callers to the appropriate person
  • Take and relay messages accurately and in a timely manner
  • Speak in clear, polite and friendly manner
  • Conduct yourself with professionalism, personality, proficiency and politeness at all times

Experience:


  • Previous experience as a switchboard operator or in a similar role is preferred
  • Familiarity with telephone systems and office equipment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Please note that this is not a complete list of responsibilities and qualifications. The switchboard operator may be required to perform additional tasks as needed.


Role is to start from the 29th of April 2024.

Hours will be split 8 hours on both Saturday and Sunday with the remaining 4 hours agreed during the week (ideally Monday/Thursday afternoon).

The job requires a 2-week induction Mon-Fri (9am to 5pm) and then followed by a development period of about 6 weeks where you will be office based (Mon-Fri) and working with our trainers to make sure you fully understand the system before moving to the weekend rota.

From £11,450.00 per year
