    Description

    Solutions Architect (Boomi Integration)

    • Duration: 6 Months
    • Start: ASAP
    • Location: Manchester & remote (hybrid working)
    • Rate: £750 per day
    • IR35 Status: Inside

    We are in need of a Solutions Architect with expertise in Boomi integrations for a project at a higher education organization, aiming to revamp their Integration setup.

    The project involves launching a new Integration platform and phasing out outdated ones to ensure a seamless transition to the new system.

    As the Solutions Architect, your role will be to collaborate with the project team to implement and design the future Integration services following industry best practices and standards.

    You will be tasked with assessing the current state of affairs and proposing the best strategies for improvement.

    Reporting to the Strategy and Architecture Manager, you will be responsible for aligning your work with ongoing transformation initiatives.

    This is a thrilling opportunity where you will contribute to a strategically important program and collaborate with talented architects, enriching your experience in the field.

    Essential skills & experience required:

    • Proficiency in Boomi Integration platform and component architecture.
    • Hands-on experience with Boomi tools like API Manager, Event streams, Atom, process developer, molecule.
    • Strong knowledge of backend Integration patterns (SOAP/REST/API services & other protocols).
    • Design and development of enterprise services using RAML & REST based APIs.
    • Experience with Agile/waterfall methodologies.
    • Over 5 years of experience designing and developing integration solutions.
    • Expertise in APIs, scripting, and integration patterns.
    • Boomi certifications are advantageous.
    • Role requires onsite presence in Manchester two days per week.

    Key responsibilities and duties:

    • Collaborate with teams to create integration strategies aligned with Enterprise Architecture.
    • Develop an integration blueprint adhering to Enterprise Integration strategy.
    • Work with enterprise architects to analyze business requirements for technology architecture.
    • Ensure balance between functional and non-functional requirements in architectures.
    • Define principles, standards, and strategy for integration services.
    • Lead system design activities in line with Enterprise Architecture.
    • Estimate development efforts and oversee implementation process.
    • Provide architectural expertise during deployment and support phases.
    • Advise on quality standards and control processes for solution architecture.
    • Contribute to quality reviews and compliance activities.
