We have an excellent opportunity to join our esteemed Private Wealth team in either Newcastle or Bristol.Working as part of our Tax/Trust & Accounting team as a Tax Senior, you'll take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, preparing personal and trustees' tax returns.
This role falls under our hybrid working policy.Most full-time employees typically spend around 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home - however we operate a flexible approach in practice.
We're very open to hearing from candidates looking for part-time working hours and are open to discussions around what that looks like for you.
Our Private Wealth team is a collaboration of lawyers, accountants, financial advisors and tax specialists. You will be preparing tax returns for review and undertaking peer reviews.Dealing with the day to day tax affairs of your client portfolio, ensuring that engagement letters are in place for clients, and that fees are agreed and billed accordingly.
Your client list will include high net-worth individuals, company directors, trusts and estates with some international exposure. You'll also assist other members of the tax team in the overall management of client affairs. Experience of trusts and Inheritance Tax is desirable but not essential.We are of course looking for someone with previous experience of working within a personal tax environment and a relevant professional tax qualification such as ATT or CTA would be desirable.
You'll be well-versed in the use of MS Outlook, Word and Excel and knowledge of CCH Personal Tax would be great.
Professional communication is an essential part of this role, so a confident telephone manner and personable approach are both required.
A working knowledge and understanding of trust accounts would also be useful, but we can support you with training in this area.
