    Job Title: Field Service Engineer

    Location: Yorkshire, UK

    Salary: c£28-32k

    Job Purpose:

    Join our client's team as a Field Service Engineer, providing expert maintenance, repair, and installation services for a range of waste handling equipment across Yorkshire. This role is perfect for a proactive engineer looking to leverage their skills in electrical and mechanical systems within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform thorough servicing of waste handling systems, including balers, compactors, shredders, conveyors, and tippers.
    • Install new equipment and deliver user training.
    • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues, supporting local service engineers.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance and identify potential issues.
    • Carry out L.O.L.E.R inspections on lifting equipment.
    • Document service and breakdown visits accurately using a tablet, including photos.
    • Highlight necessary parts for further work, detailing make, model, and serial numbers.
    • Undertake hydraulic repairs and replacements.
    • Conduct minor welding and fabrication tasks when required.
    • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring efficient and compliant work practices.
    • Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure tools and equipment are in good working order.
    • Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
    Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
    • Extensive experience as an electrical engineer with mechanical expertise.
    • Familiarity with Siemens S7/LOGO programming or a willingness to learn.
    • Strong background in fault diagnosis of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
    • Competency in hydraulics repair and welding.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
