Senior Financial Reporting Manager (12 month fixed term contract)
Salary Range:
£75,000 to £80,000 salary + £7,000 car allowance + 8% pension + bonus

A Senior Financial Reporting Manager is required for a large US owned Manufacturing business based in Birmingham.
Working on a flexible and hybrid working basis, the Senior Financial Reporting Manager must be a qualified accountant (ideally ACA / ACCA background)with extensive experience of producing financial reports, and consolidated accounts, ideally with experience of US GAAP.
Managing 2 other qualified accountants, the focus of this position will be to continually improve and enhance the quality of financial reporting across the European Group.
A key element of the role will be to pro-actively manage and strive to improve allaspects of the internal and external reporting processes whilst adhering to and evolving the compliance framework.
One of the many challenges of the role will be to successfully manage plant/operations and senior management relationships.This is a hybrid working position, you'll be able to manage your workload between the office and home.
The Senior Financial Reporting Manager will be required to:
- Ensuring the European group is preparing financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP accounting standards and group requirements (US GAAP experience is desirable, not essential).
- Management of month/quarter/yearend financial reporting processes and assisting with the audit process to ensure timely signoffs can be achieved.
- Consolidation of European Group locations.
- The ability to understand, digest and explain complex accounting issues to nonfinance stakeholders.
- Qualified Accountant who trained within a recognised Accountancy firm and has worked in at least one industry focused financial reporting positions
- Experience of group consolidations
- Experience of group reporting within a global framework and delivering to deadlines
- Experience of identifying unusual trends or anomalies in financials reported
- Strong audit background and past experience of assessing internal controls.
- Experience of identifying process improvements.
- Experience of identifying control deficiencies and recommending appropriate corrective action
- A diligent individual who is sceptical and questioning of data presented and who is willing to challenge responses when not understood
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop international relationships and provide a firstclass service to all stakeholders
- Willing to travel internationally, approximately 1020% of the year
- Must possess strong IT skills, particularly Excel

- A salary in the range of £75,000 to £80,000
