    Description

    I am working with a premium and award winning food business and recruiting exclusively for an experienced Technical Manager to lead the Technical function within the company to drive a robust Food Safety & Quality culture across the business.

    This business is going through significant expansion into Uk retailers, food service, food service and B2B.

    This role will be play a key part in facilitating the growth by ensuring the implementation and adherence to elevated and stricter Technical standards necessary to secure new clientele with such technical demands.

    Salary is circa £60,000 + bonus
    * 33 days holiday

    Reporting in to the Technical Director, the Technical Manager will be responsible for the QA & Hygiene functions that are managed by the QA Manager & Hygiene Manager.

    In addition, you will contribute value added insight across our facilities, adeptly addressing any technical challenges and championing the businesses culture of continuous improvement.

    Lead site HACCP and be involved in the evaluation of risk and defining controls, prior to the introduction of a new process, product, or raw material.

    Working collaboratively across the business to define and maintain a clear plan for the development & continuing improvement of a food safety and quality culture.


    • Undertake and evaluate technical projects as part of the CI programme.
    • Challenge and improve QA & hygiene programmes within the business.

    A minimum of 5 years experience in a technical management position within high care / high risk food manufacturing.


    • BSc or MSc in food related discipline such as Food Science or similar science.
