Working within an Agile Team, you'll be collaborating to deliver at pace, scale and with the highest quality to support our products, whilst looking to improve client experience and delivering the best ROI for clients.


Key responsibilities:

  • Work with both clients and internal teams to define product stories
  • Ensuring software features are robust, scalable and stable
  • Supporting roadmaps development with product owners
  • Developing in PHP
  • Developing API's and API Integrations
  • Supporting client meetings as required i.e. scope gathering, recommendations, demonstrating functionality etc
  • Determine and recommend appropriate software architectures and other technical solutions, including new technologies
  • Implement industrystandard best practices such as automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automated deployments and infrastructure as code
  • Collaborate with the already existing team to design and implement backend technical solutions within a scrum model
  • Out of hours (7am 7pm) critical support cover (on a rota)
  • Provide client technical 3rd line support as required

Essential skills:

  • Working In Digital Agency or SaaS environment
  • Extensive experience of PHP
  • Experience with a modernday PHP framework, such as Laravel
  • Experience of bespoke nonframeworkbased PHP projects
  • Extensive working knowledge of MySQL and ability to write custom SQL queries
  • Version/Source control using GIT
  • Strong software engineering experience with a focus in:
  • Key principles of object-orientated design
  • Understanding of common design patterns including MVC
  • Unit testing and testdriven development
  • Security focussed development (CRSF, XSS, SQL Injection etc) and Pen testing experience
  • Refactoring and redesigning legacy code to modern standards
  • System and database design from a set of requirements/user stories
  • Experience working with ISO 9001:2015 & 2700
  • Experience working with 3rd party APIs and integrating them into existing systems

Desirable skills:

  • Frontend technology experience including:
  • CSS/HTML
  • Bootstrap
  • JavaScript and any Frameworks such as VUE or React
  • Web Accessibility experience (WCAG, WSC)
  • WordPress development experience
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum based team
  • Experience with Asana
  • Experience of HubSpot
