Provide effective leadership and management to all the AHP staff within the Trust Wide AHP Inpatient Team and to support the team to achieve the highest possible care and performance standards To lead on the recruitment, selection, appointment and induction of staff within the Trust Wide AHP Inpatient Team To provide expert clinical assessment, formulation, care planning and intervention maintaining a high level of autonomous clinical practice.
Ensure high quality and safe care is delivered by all members of the AHP Inpatient Team, adhering to best practice guidelines, while meeting service targets, maintaining financial control in close liaison with the Head of AHPs & Social Workers, locality Service Managers and Strategic leads Be responsible for setting the strategic direction of Physiotherapists, Dietitians and Speech & Language Therapists working within inpatient services, with specific responsibility for the oversight of education and professional issues and for ensuring optimum standards of patient care and experience through the effective and efficient management of all associated resources, in line with agreed objectives, performance targets, quality standards and resource controls.
Represent these designated AHP professions within trust business and strategy meetings as well as inter-agency partnerships or public forums with a view to promoting the role and influence of AHPs within the wider political and health economy as required.
