Are you passionate about operational health and safety and fostering a Health and Safety culture in a dynamic WCM production facility?

We are seeking an Operational Risk Coordinator to join our team at a production plant in Stoney Stanton, Leicester.


This role, within the Health, Safety, and Environment function, serves as a supervisory-support position to provide direct and effective EHS assistance to Operations Managers.

The position involves actively contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS standards while supporting Operations Managers in the continual assessment and management of on-site EHS risks.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the production team, upload EHS information to SharePoint, review and update maintenance procedures.
  • Address waste and environmental issues, collaborate with regional risk coordinators to create safe systems of work documentation.
  • Actively engage in coaching health, safety, and occupational risk within the production facility.
  • Contribute to risk reduction, hazard observation, identification, and continual improvement in EHS performance.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in promoting EHS practices, initiatives, communications, and standards.
  • Support 5S projects to maintain a visual workplace and enhance workplace organisation.
  • Conduct EHS induction onsite, including documentation completion, training, and facility tours.
  • Communicate with other brands and report directly to the Operations Manager.

Requirements:


  • Good working knowledge of relevant SSOW, performing Audits, and Risk Assessments.
  • Influencing personality with culture change management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with excellent time management and selfmotivation skills.
  • Background in operational health and safety within a challenging environment, understanding current compliance and regulations.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of coaching, mentoring, and inspiring staff at all levels.
