The role
As a Senior Buyer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

As the focal point for the Programme and Project leads you will be responsible for several different procurement projects, driving performance and value opportunities across them.

Day to day, you'll be involved in the following:

Identified value opportunities and levers
Supply Chain Design for packages of work
Supplier Relationship Management
Operational Excellence and reporting
Cross functional communication within the programme

This role is full-time 37-hours per week and will be based at Ashton House with hybrid working from home arrangements.

There is a requirement to travel within the UK as part of the role.

Essential experience of the Senior Buyer:

Demonstratable experience within a Supply Chain role, preferably in a Defence or Engineering environment
Analytical skills to analyse data and make decisions.
Be able to read and understand technical drawings and ability to communicate complex requirements to/from supply chain is an advantage.
Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business and suppliers.
Selfmotivated with a flexible approach to workload
Strong negotiation skills.
