We are working in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the
Bromley Mental Health Hub.

This will form part of the new transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley under the NHS Long Term Plan.

The service brings together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic and integrated services for adults with mental health problems.


The integrated team provides brief intervention support to people with long-term mental health problems within a primary care and community mental health setting, helping people develop their independence, self-management skills and achieve their recovery goals.


You will need to use your own lived experience of mental health issues to support you to build good rapport with your clients and ensure your approach is meaningful.

You will need to be organised, resilient, flexible, and empathetic in supporting clients to achieve their goals.


The role will involve:

  • Working with a caseload of clients to provide one to one recoveryorientated peer support to adults with mental health problems.
  • Empowering and supporting clients to access and navigate healthcare, wellbeing and community services.
  • Cofacilitating and where necessary leading on delivering group peer support and workshops.
  • Working with the Peer Support Coordinator to plan and develop content and resources for recoverybased workshops and peer support groups.
  • Working with the Peer Support Coordinator to induct, train and support Peer Support Volunteers.
  • Promoting understanding of the principles and practice of peer support.
  • Working collaboratively with hub staff, partners & stakeholders across the borough of Bromley.
  • Making a commitment to participating in regular supervision and training to ensure continued professional development.
  • Contributing to the monitoring, reporting, and development of the service.

Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check.
