    Assistant Headteacher – Teaching and Learning/CPD

    For September 2024

    Leadership scale L13-17

    We are looking to appoint an inspirational Assistant Headteacher who will have joint accountability with the Deputy Headteacher for Teaching and Learning and whole school responsibility for CPD, including mentoring ECT's and PGCE students. This will include the strategic monitoring and evaluation of Teaching and Learning and analysis and resourcing of the training needs of staff within the school as a whole and also for individuals.

    • a very good Sixth Form of 450+ boys and girls

    The successful applicant will:

    • Demonstrate they have made a difference to standards of teaching and learning and achievement in their current post.
    • Have a proven track record of successful leadership, raising standards and outcomes for students.
    • Will be tenacious and consistent in applying school policies and processes and in holding others to account.
    • Have expectations of the highest standards for themselves
    • Will be passionate and committed to ensuring every child is able to achieve at the highest level.
    • Will be empathetic and a good communicator.

    The post represents an excellent developmental opportunity for an inspirational Middle Leader to enhance and expand their expertise. This will be a one year contract in the first instance.
