    The MWS Scotland region is actively involved in a variety of frameworks for Scottish Water, including the Infrastructure Capital programme and the MEICA replacement operational alliance DV2 Lot 4. The business, currently at approximately £130 million per year, is planning for further growth. The DV2 Lot 4 MEICA replacement framework entails a 6-year program with a potential 6-year extension. It involves diverse design & construction projects ranging from £100,000 to £4 million, encompassing MEICA equipment replacement, civil engineering works, control & automation, SCADA, and telemetry tasks. The annual volume ranges from £25 million to £40 million.

    Morrison Water Services Ltd is looking to hire a Site Manager for the Scottish Water DV2 Framework, engaged in various diverse projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role is site-based and may involve travel as necessary.

    As a Site Manager within our Operations Team, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of water infrastructure and civil engineering projects.     The Site Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring project safety and meeting commercial expectations. Building strong relationships with Scottish Water and stakeholders at the site and project levels is a key aspect of the position, which is based in Scotland.

    As the Site Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
    • Accountable for managing and supervising site teams on water and wastewater maintenance upgrades
    • Ensuring site compliance with company SHEQ policies, driving a strong Health & Safety and quality-focused culture
    • Conducting site safety audits, including subcontractors
    • Understanding the project's commercial position and efficiency targets, managing project costs effectively
    • Identifying and communicating issues to the client through the EWN system
    • Procuring and delivering materials and planning labor according to the construction program
    • Maintaining close relationships with the office team and project managers
    • Ensuring high standards of site H&S paperwork, adhering to CDM principle contractor obligations on site
    • Focus on continuous improvement in all SHEQ areas
    • Recording and reporting all site returns to the management team
    • Managing subcontract work packages, ensuring adherence to subcontractor construction programs
    • Handling private land access, highway possessions, and work fronts in local communities in a positive manner

    Skills & Knowledge Requirements

    • Civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
    • Management experience in the construction industry
    • Valid Driving Licence
    • Proficient IT skills
    • Effective communication skills with influencing capabilities
    • SHEA Water certification - preferred
