Workshop Administrator
Part-time Permanent Position 16 to 20 hours per week

£22,500 per annum pro rata


The NWH Group is a growing business with a large number of vehicles and plant that is critical to the operations of the business.

The Garage function, with an annual budget of c£5m, is accountable, through employees and subcontractors, for the maintenance and servicing of it.

The Workshop Administrator is a key part of the team that is responsible for and drives, the efficient running of the Garage activities.


You will:

  • Provide holiday cover for the Workshop Fleet Supervisor
  • Take ownership of the vehicle service schedule for all the fleet and yellow plant ensuring it is maintained and used as a basis for planning the workload
  • Manage the vehicle inspection process: from booking to attendance to working with the subcontractors to ensure all service inspection paperwork is received and in order
  • Responsible for adding and removing vehicles from the fleet eg V5 form, insurance, Operators License, etc
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Purchase Order system create and input part numbers, update POs with these part numbers, input all subcontractor jobs liaising with the Workshop Manager, issue PO numbers to subcontractors, matching Goods Received Notes with the POs, etc
  • Have a cando attitude.
  • Previous experience in fleet maintenance/management.
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel as well as accounting software.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Accurate attention to detail.
  • Self Motivated.
