Accounts Senior / Accounts Semi-Senior

A well established accountancy practice in Durham, not far from the city centre and the surrounding countryside are looking to welcome an Accounts Senior or Accounts Semi-Senior to their firm.

With a strong reputation across County Durham the volume of new clients engaging with their services is increasing which requires additional staffing to the practice.

You will be responsible for the day to day delivery of year end statutory accounting on behalf of Limited, Partnerships and Sole Trader clients, both Owner Managed Businesses and SME's.

You will be actively involved in the preparation of the more complexaccounts (assuming capability) whilst reviewing those of more junior members in the team and ensuring all aspects of bookkeeping are accurate and completed on time.

The position offers plenty of client contact on a day to day basis as well as a hands on role and the opportunity to share your knowledge with the trainees in the department.

For those who enjoy a varied general practice accounting role this suits well,with the option to include audit if desired.

My client is looking for an Accountant (ACA/ACCA/AAT) or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years experience in general practice.

You must be a good communicator, organised and professional in your approach.

The practice is growing and it is anticipated there will naturally be further opportunities for progression and promotion.

The office has free parking and is close to a number of amenities with good transport links.
