Job Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Supervise warehouse staff and daily activities
  • Implement and enforce operational procedures and policies
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Manage inventory control and reconciliation
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of products
  • Oversee the use of warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation
  • Train, mentor, and coach warehouse employees
  • Address any issues or discrepancies that may arise

Essential Criteria:


  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, materials handling, and business processes
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes
  • Capable of heavy lifting and physical work
  • Experience of supervising/managing staff and delegating tasks
  • Experience of delivering training
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good administrative and organisational ability
  • Problem solver and competent decision maker
  • Full UK driving licence
  • IT competent and able to use various IT platforms/systems
  • Experience and knowledge of adhering to health and safety standards within a warehouse operation
  • Forklift Truck operators' qualification

Desirable Criteria:

VNA Forklift Truck operators' qualification.
